When you want to choose the best royal jelly, a nutrient-rich substance created by nurse bees, you may best begin by selecting a reputable source from which to purchase it. This way, you can feel confident that you are buying a reasonably pure and potent product. You can also consider the form you are most interested in taking. Pills, for instance, can prove convenient, but some people like the fresh form for its taste and its potential for maximum potency. Freeze-dried versions, on the other hand, may prove better if you are worried about shelf life and perishability or have difficulty locating the fresh form.

One of the most important considerations is the reputation of the company that produces the royal jelly you want to purchase. Alternative medicines and herbal remedies aren't typically as regulated as traditional medicines. As such, there are few standards to which the companies that produce them are held. If you choose a company that has a good reputation and a commitment to purity, you may have a better chance of getting a supplement that is potent and reasonably free of toxins. Since purity and potency are important to your overall health and the effects of supplement, this may be one of the most important factors in making your selection.

You can choose between fresh and freeze-dried varieties of royal jelly. Some people prefer the fresh form because they feel more confident in its potency, and some even like its taste. The fresh form, however, must be kept in a refrigerator or a freezer, though it does have a long shelf life when properly stored.

The freeze-dried form may be beneficial if you prefer not to consume fresh royal jelly or do not have ready access to it. While you may find it hard to get the fresh form in some areas, you can purchase the freeze-dried type online and have it shipped virtually anywhere. You can keep this type for an extended period of time without having to worry about refrigeration or freezing.

The capsule form of royal jelly may prove the easiest option if you want a quick way to take this supplement daily. It can also make a good option if you dislike the taste of this nutrient-rich substance. In such a case, you can simply swallow a pill without having to worry about unpleasant flavors. Additionally, you might consider taking royal jelly pills if you cannot find other forms of it in your area or if you have trouble storing it in fresh form.

@Fa5t3r - Some people just find royal jelly an excellent supplement for them, and I think that's great. Not everyone can eat every single nutrient that they are supposed to in the course of their day, and if they can eat a pill and make sure that their body has what it needs, then that's what they should do.

Also, we don't know all the things that nature can do at the moment. It's definitely not out of the question that bees put some kind of substance in the royal jelly that might have healing properties for humans.

Royal jelly always seemed like a bit of a scam to me. I can accept that the stuff has a lot of vitamins and minerals, but so does a lot of other foods which aren't nearly expensive. And I don't think human beings have evolved to be such a perfect match to a rather obscure substance that is made by bees.

I think if you're lost in a forest for weeks and you come across some bees' royal jelly in a hive, you'd be smart to eat it, because it will provide you with nutrients that wouldn't otherwise be available, but I don't think it can provide anything that a normal diet doesn't. And certainly not anything that's worth paying so much for.

I think the best place to buy royal jelly is from the source. Many people who keep bees will also sell royal jelly, as it's the best product in terms of financial reward. If you happen to know anyone near who sells honey and other bee products, that is the first place I'd check for royal jelly.

It's more likely that you'll be able to get a good price on it as well, and you'll be able to ensure that you're eating natural royal jelly and not a substitute.
